The 39 Steps

There are few prop shows that are so intense that they have earned a reaction when one stage manager tells another what show they are working on, and The 39 Steps is certainly one of those shows. We even used three actors that are not in the script to become props and furniture pieces on stage. The question quickly became if there would be more props or sound cues. As the assistant stage manager I helped track the technical elements, play sound cues in rehearsal, and ran the first day of rehearsal in space.
