The Sound of Music

I do not think I really understood how big this show was when I asked to costume design it. We special ordered carts full of crape for the nuns and sewed the curtain outfits from actual curtain fabric. It was an adventure, especially with all of the costume changes for the children. Then there was the wedding scene, a party scene, the night clothes, not to mention the singing competition and the nazis. Honestly, I loved every minute of it and grew tremendously as a designer.
